The regional diet consists of maize, beef, green vegetables and beans.
Common health and other problems in this area:
Skin diseases, malaria, and HIV/AIDS. Most adults in Olmotonyi are unemployed but some work as subsistence farmers and earn the equivalent of $8 per month. This community needs vocational training centers.
